Curry breh :ld:

Curry is one of those tweeners who can actually play both positions extremely well like Bron does for his positions but to a less degree than Bron. Dennis a pure point bro. He can move without the ball but he can't shoot or finish well. He really isn't much of a threat this point of his career as an off guard. Even if he improved his shot and finishing, he still would be best on the ball.

I think you have Curry mixed up with Rondo. Nothing about Schroder reminds me of Curry.

He does cut off his screens like Curry and his handles are uber advanced like Curry's which makes him hell to guard in PnR's. He is much quicker than Steph tho but Steph can do A LOT more than Dennis with the rock.

That's the thing I agree with him on. He is still a lot more like Rondo than Curry tho.

I get what you saying but Curry is probably the worst guy to compare Schroder to. Curry makes quick decisions and plays off of what the defense is giving him while Schroder likes to dominant the ball and forces plays like Rondo. You rarely see Curry hold on to the ball to long or force a pass that isn't there. Schroder is still raw and I would give him 2-3 more years and he'll probably be similar to Rondo or something. Curry on the other hand was never raw, he's always had a very high basketball IQ and he's pretty much the same player he was back in his Davidson days where he led a bunch of bums to the elite 8. His handles are a little better and he's gotten stronger but he plays exactly like he did at Davidson.

You can definitely see the talent and potential that he has and if he works on his game an improves his jumper he will be a star. I can see the Rondo comparison but I also think he compares somewhat to Tony Parker too. Drafted as a teenager has, is fast as lightning, but just needs to be taught the game and learn when to slow down and when to take it into the next gear.
Rondo only because of his body, he's really long just like Rondo. Difference is Rondo's way smarter/better passer but Schroder actually has a half decent jumpshot.

I've agreed with the "German Rondo" comparison that scouts have given him since entering the scene, and it's hard not to disagree with them seeing his style of play in the Summer League. I love that he's just 19 years old and we can really coach him up to be whatever type of PG we want him to be. Like others have said in this thread, he can develop into a Rondo with a jumpshot or a Tony Parker with a longer body. I love the potential there because he really has all the tools to make it. And with a coach like Bud who's worked with Tony Parker before, I think he's got a good shot at becoming a superstar in this league.

I wonder how butt hurt Teague will be in a year or two when he's asked to come off the bench for him though. He'll ask for a trade, I'm sure.
