A man who frequented a Rialto strip club shot a stripper in the face Wednesday evening, then turned the gun on himself.
The series of events leading up to the first shooting are a bit hazy. Witnesses told CBS LA the man walked into the Spearmint Rhino Club just before 7:30 p.m. and demanded one of his favorites leave with him. When the woman refused, the man, who was allegedly a daily customer, noted he had spent a lot of money on the woman in the past year, then proceeded to shoot the woman in the face.
The Press-Enterprise reports that the woman, a private dancer, gave the "obsessed" man a private lap dance in a back room. At the end of the dance, he shot the woman in the face.
Both reports state that after shooting the woman, the man fatally shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity has not been released.
The woman was rushed to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
An investigation is ongoing.
