So, TPP which is destructive is a good thing? This is going to take jobs away. Just like NAFTA :snoop:
It wasn't about TPP on its face, it was about having language in the party platform that spits in the face of the sitting president. That would never happen in any political party.
So they went with softer language that specified there is a disagreement within the party on TPP and that any trade deals must protect workers and the environment to get full Dem support.

You mean the same partnership that spits in the face of the American people :ohhh:

The party will not go against its leader, there really isn't a big political win for doing it except to take the moral high ground after an inevitable defeat. The electorate will not distinguish between Obama and the Democrats. Some of them ran away from the ACA in the 2014 election and how did that work out for them? Or any Republican with the toxic Bush administration, even if they tried putting any distance between them the public would still hold them responsible. Progressives have been sidelined because of their failures to build alliances, which is all that matters in big tent politics, and have so many of their supporters in the media who don't have to govern pushing them to an all or nothing approach.

So everybody is saying that they won't go against Obama but Hillary already has said she won't support TPP so to voters minds there is already a rift. To have Hillary's people not oppose or favor it in the platform basically says she will turn cover her eyes or support it while it gets passed.

This type of p*ssy shyt is why the Democratic party ain't worth a damn besides playing identity politics to win the executive branch and Senate seats.
