Just know, they can protest. They can slow roll nominees and just abstain from assisting with any of the Republicans bullshyt.
They cannot stop them. For you contrarians always asking what they ARE doing, the Nov 2024 vote made them a minority everywhere that it counts: House, Senate, Presidency, and before that, Supreme Court.
Call your House rep and Senate reps and tell them to resist but realize the true next step is hitting the streets. Folks don’t believe in the Democrats? Fine. They are a minor minority in the House and Senate. Let's not act like they do not have the power to stop anything non-budgetary that requires a vote, because they do. The Republicans do not have enough of a majority in the Senate to be filibuster proof.

Minority Party: Democrats (45 seats)
Other Parties: 2 Independents
Total Seats: 100
So if the Democrates in the Senate do their job, and are able to keep the party on code, they can stop a lot of laws from happening. If they can take the House in 2026, then the pressure will be off of the Senate to perform as much. Until then, the Democratic Senators need to be doing their jobs.

Trump is legit just seizing power . i dont know what can be done but we arent going to be able to vote our way out of this. They are doing all kinds of things that they arent supposed to be able to and saying stop us.

You are right about the Senate which is why the few who are helping confirm people need to stop.
The problem is that the main mechanism Trump is using to consolidate power is NOT using the legislature. He is making illegal moves inside of bureaus under his purview. All of the mechanisms for Democrats to check them would require bipartisanship to execute. In the house, all committees are headed by Republicans. When we talk about what they can do, thats talking about the legal mechanisms. Trump is going around the back. its no longer in their hands anymore to stop him like it would be if they were able to impeach and remove him.
