The reality is the people making $20 an hour don't want there to be a minimum wage of $18 because it's too close to what they make.

At the company I work at the minimum wage is over $20 an hour now and the older employees threw a fit because for years the company hadn't raised everyone else's wages to match so you had new employees promoting and making just as much if not more than workers with seniority.
