What's contrarian or racist about this? Jeffries is being incredibly weak in the face of an authoritarian GOP that's hellbent on destroying the safety net, gutting regulations, and ignoring the law. I think their strategy is not to give the Trump administration headlines to rally behind. Nobody is paying attention to what Gerry fukking Connelly is saying except for high information voters like us and we already voted against Trump

I think the Dems should continue to do what they’ve been doing, fight Trump in the courts, vocalize discontent but don’t try to steal attention. Don’t interrupt an enemy from making a mistake.

Trump and Elon have a massive probably insurmountable messaging advantage right now (through controlling social media and Trump having the bully pulpit) that they could frame an overtly borderline obnoxious Democrat resistance as the enemy and the reason why the Trump agenda is failing.

If Democrats continue their strategy of allowing Trump & Elon show their ass unfiltered and untethered Americans will continue to be repulsed by them. As long as Dems continue to fight in the courts I think it’s a viable strategy. I think Dems should focus on investing in a guerrilla strategy of amplifying the Republican failures through social media via podcasters and online bot farms to sow public discontent.

If Trump and Elon fail with no visible democrats to blame their failures on then their messaging of blaming everyone but themselves will backfire and multiply the public backlash of the Republican demagoguery not correlating to lives improving.

I understand why you say this, but it's an example of the total cowardice and fearful posture that has come to define the Democrats. Instead of seeing an opportunity to position themselves as the defenders of society against an increasingly unpopular opponent and press your growing advantage, all they can see is the downsides of how they might fukk it up. So they quietly sit down and wait to be given a cookie instead of taking it. Weakness.
