I agree they have a men problem tho. I said on here you could tell they probably (somewhat understandably) was leaning into the pro women aspects a little hard and that would make some of our more fragile brothers feel a little left out. The best they did was Michele trying at the last minute to tell men that abortion was a male issue too because it involved the women they loved and you needed to protect them by protecting their right to abortion. But I was hoping we’d be able to sneak by this election and make up for it in 2028. That wasn’t the case tho. They gonna have to do something cause they bout to lose millennials and gen z men which is wild. Especially since women obviously aren’t going to vote for a woman off GP (or just love them some Trump).
Millennials are the only stronghold they have left. Gen Z grew up on social media and all they get is right wing politics also college is increasingly a female thing so you can’t socialize them out of it.
Their mistake was thinking that demographics was destiny and that you could just copy and paste the Obama coalition. They forgot that dude ran as a change agent even if he was a regular Dem. In 2016, millennials told them student loans, housing costs and a fading American dream have us scared and they said (even O-Dawg), what is all this gloom and doom about? Dems running campaigns based on typical voters and losing because it’s the uncommon voter that is deciding these things.
As for men, the Democratic Party and liberals have been telling dudes that we are something that needs to be fixed for 15 years. A big solution to the men problem could have been solved with the continuation of the child tax monthly payments. That would have covered daycare, groceries and let someone cut back on overtime.
