Bro…it’s insane how misinformed traditional democrats have gotten because of social media:

my mom is a lifelong Democrat and even she had shared me videos of interviews with Andrew Tate.

I had a cousin that voted for Kamala saying she understood why Trump won because “he was the first president to give people stimulus money” :snoop:

Other democrats I knew sharing videos with Joe Rogan.

Democrats are getting hammered by right-wing social media influencers.

Soros needs to buy TikTok man fukk it

While that last tweet points out some things that I think are good to be acknowledged, I think what was missing, and what needs to be acknowledged as well is "Americans are generally low information voters".

Just ran across this post from the election thread:

Fixing the information ecosphere problem has to be a top priority for Democrats if they're going to rebuild

That BlueSky post does have me wondering if the GOP is walking into a future political trap. They're acting like that have a mandate to re-shape society, but it looks like a lot of people voted for Trump thinking he's going to "fight for them" on some anti-establishment shyt

Democrats outsourced their Latino strategy to progressive nonprofits run by educated progressives who sought (sometimes for, I believe, quite moral reasons) to liberalize US immigration; but they lost sight of the fact that they were pushing policy significantly to the left of the preferences of less educated voters who make up the supermajority of the Latino electorate.

Beshear is the guy. He just got another 100m investment into Kentucky from Chick-fil-A. He has brought more investment dollars and jobs than any governor. I just listened to a conservative CEO in KY praise him like 6-7 times privately. Put him and big gretch on a ticket. I love Buttigieg but America is not going to vote for a gay man.
