The female lawyer is great.
This is the WHITEST show on the planet in terms of tone, setting, culture. My god it’s foreign. Kids just drinking all blatantly, blond bytch has the world in her palms, billionaires, Texas high school football, white men lusting after young girls. shyt is crazy.
Favorite character is Boss, the cute bytch lawyer and Dale.
I used to work in Natural Gas industry and some of this shyt is on point. If a VP was coming on sight you would see normally stoic apathetic dudes start tap dancing for a head nod and acknowledgement.

‘Landman’ Season 2 Strikes Oil as Filming Kicks Off in Texas!
The hit Paramount+ series Landman is back! Filming for Season 2 has officially started in Texas. After a record-breaking first season, the show is gearing up for more drama, danger, and high-stakes action in the oil industry.Billy Bob Thornton returns as Tommy Norris, along with Demi Moore as Cami Miller. Other familiar faces coming back include Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, and more. Season 2 will continue the intense story, picking up after the shocking earthquake and the death of oil tyc00n Monty Miller, played by Jon Hamm.
Fans had wild theories that Monty might still be alive, but his absence from the cast confirms his story is over. Now, Tommy must deal with the fallout while new enemies wait in the shadows.

Finished the show a couple weeks ago and it could have been fine even with the ridiculous oil propaganda if not for the women characters smh, they are so badly written, it's incredible.
The daughter and mother have no redeeming qualities and I guess are just there as fan service. Couldn't believe some of the daughter's lines lmao. I fast forwarded all of their scenes after a couple of eps and I don't think I missed anything.
The widow is out there leaning on another man's shoulder at her own husband's wake ffs
The lawyer is better but her portrayal as a staunch liberal is awful, she could have been a better character without the over the top holier than thou thing.
I'm surprised the dude who wrote that show wrote Sicario.

With Sicario likely 2 scenarios happened. Villeneuve helped tighten the script up. Or if there were rewrites they tidied the script up and it didn't need much alterations from the final draft turned in. And sometimes the actors change things themselves.
But TV show Taylor Sheridan is his own boss now so the poor writing isn't drilled down upon.
It's weird because the male characters are fine for the most part but the female ones are awful, the disparity in quality is absurd. On Sicario, Emily Blunt's character is fine so you may have a point on somebody reigning him in then.
It's a shame there were some shows (with titles as dates) I was interested in but I'm legit scust at dude now
