I dunno the details of the case but Im inclined to believe that if her sentence was indeed harsh for the crime it was incentive for her being granted presidential pardon and Im fine with that but I don't see what's to be celebrated here, she should be low profile and it doesn't help to hear that the matriarch of the family was some queenpin

Thanks for sharing this. I don't follow the Broncos like that and never knew Thomas's upbringing was so hard. Glad mom was able to enjoy the game and get the ball. Poor grammy though. Multi generational poverty is no damn joke.

I've heard this story years ago when she was still in prison in ESPN magazine.
She could have worked with prosecutors for a way shorter sentence, but it meant testifying against her mother, who the prosecutors already had enough evidence on her anyway.
