Are you serious Kripp not good at games? He had worlds first Hardcore barb in D3 that made it all the way through inferno without dying and was invited to Blizzcon as a tournament player for Hearthstone and has also played a high lvl in many of the major mmo's such as Guild Gars 2 and WoW. You may be right about Sodapoppin but many of the top players are the most popular streamers on twitch if they stream (which is another story). Just look at League of Legends plenty of the top players that are regulars in the tournaments/on teams are top streamers when they do stream. I would agree with you if you were referring to those niche games or speed runs where an unknown streamer who may not be good at any game can get a ton of viewers but we are talking about the top viewed games that are streamed daily.

I'll just have to agree to disagree about that because you could say that about all games except strategy games and even then skill would be subjective. And if it was so much about personality then those same popular streamers would have the most donations from people as well, more-so than the female streamers you referred to earlier but they don't. A few that I named Sodapoppin and Rekful got lucky and got a huge donation from the same rich guy for 25k and 15k but if you watch these streamers the ones that post who they recieved donations from they aren't getting a lot. Yeah you may have the $50 or $100 donations here and there but its mostly small donations and few and far in between.
For twitch its about getting a steady amount of followers which leads to a sub button and streaming regularly (several days a week and around 5 hours a day) the ones that do that see steady revenue from twitch and from youtube if you get the followers to sub to you there.

Most of these female gamers are making a business out of this. Get a LLC so you can deduct all this as a business expense (your office is your living room). All the skimpy clothing with their names deducted as uniforms. Writing off the donations as gifts.
