lemme hear this from Lenovo, Intel or
IBM too and then maybe I'll listen
cant tell me corporations are really gonna move to using tablets. hell nah
You did hear from IBM.
The moment that they sold their computer division to Lenovo. Dell is following IBM's lead. HP was pretty close to doing the same but figured they'd give it another shot.
Intel is focusing on low powered mobile chips. They're at a really crucial point right now. They are facing the reality that they might be left out in the cold for the next generation of devices. They are way behind. They are TERRIFIED. They can't produce the same speeds with lower battery consumption. They are starting to look like the HUMMER car brand right now IMO. Times are changing and they didn't keep up.
So you'll start to see their focus and R&D money slowly shift. Trust me, trust me, trust me. 2 years from now they're going to lose Apple as a customer. How many other companies do you think are going to follow Apple's lead and start putting ARM like processors in their laptops? Everyone if they want to compete. That's a huge chunk of business gone.
Adapt or die.
IBM is adapting. Dell is adapting. Intel is adapting on the low, they don't want to raise any alarms.
It's funny, Steve Jobs called it when he said that we're entering a "Post PC era." I bet that had a bunch of executives at Dell calling the PR department to run counter game at the time. Now look what's happening....
