I actually stopped watching when I noticed the "like us on FB" button. Wasn't saying shyt anyway. It's not an either/or prospect. You can connect with people in a real way IRL wether or not you chat with old gfs on FB.
fukk this cornball.
facebook can be lame as hell but it definitely opens up new social opportunities.. and if youre disconnected you miss out on a lot of shyt. anyway its fully customizable so whatever you want people to see they will see. disable news alerts from wack ppl...set up alerts on ur phone so when the ppl u care about post you will know..no reason to get so overdramatic about this shyt
Sounds like you fall exactly in that category of no-life outside a social network. FB is lame as hell but not lame enough to drop it....
Exactly. I can tell just by the dude's voice he is a loser and was hoping FB would be his salvation. The shyt is just a tool, how you use it is not its problem. He makes some good points, but of course he goes over the top with it like a lot of these e-prophets do.
I don't see any need to delete facebook altogether, just control how you use it. When I first got FB, I used to status update every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times and day and post everything on my mind. I was excited to see people who I haven't seen or talked to in years and what they were doing with their lives.
Then after a matter of months, I reconnected with everyone, said what I wanted to say and it got old quick. I rarely ever status update anymore and only log in about twice a week. Most people are the same.
The people who are up there all day long airing out all their personal business and pining for attention, they have some void in their lives they're filling with FB. There's no reason for someone who is not an addict or attention whore to delete their FB though because it is a very good tool to keep in contact with people.
Twitter is useless though. I don't have a twitter and doubt I ever will. I don't see why anyone would need one unless they are a celebrity, or politician...someone famous who uses it as a tool to market and share news about they're doing.
