What you just wrote I damn near did to a tee. I kept buying tapes just because they were cheaper and I could get more than one joint. I tricked off lunch money and bus fare...and when I started driving in High School I would damn near use all of the people that I took to school gas money on music. I was driving on fumes damn near. My car, 77 Toyota Corolla, conked out on me 2 days before I left for my Frosh year in college:mjcry:.

Been listening to the Apollo Brown & Rassy Kassy joint...as good as the production on that album is, it still pales in comparison to the production on No Need For Arlam...Analog On Mine!!

What a jerk! You need to find rhymes that'll work
You need to desert the rhymin field
You're a nerd, your rhymin yields and stops
My rhymin shield deflects your puny rhymes
They're 'spect so do decline - any challenge
Forfeit because your shyt's - unbearable terrible
Sounds like you're sharin flows with Treach :gladbron::mjlol:
Let's come to grips youse a trip
Arrogant son of a bytch none of us is rich
:whew:

He wasn't even dissin Treach...just pointing out a wack EMCEE bitin Treach's flow:manny:

His best work, in my opinion.

I've been playin' "You're in Shambles" since the album dropped!! That beat was serious.

Another crazy situation of how great beats were back then....I was immediately in love with the first part of Youre In Shambles...the one vote piano and Oboe or whatever....:then that insane low register piano shyt kicked in and I hated it at first. Took me a minute to warm up to it but once I did it was a wrap.

Lemme fire this album up right now actually

I dunno breh, Del was talkin shyt shyt on this

Why swoon when you hear a ballad, is what I tell a broad
cause L a fraud, he ain't hella hard
I used to look up, now I wanna cook up
your brain like bass and maintain ya space
CAUSE I DON'T CARE!

:lolbron:

But I do know Twista dissed him for either this track or another on this album...can't remember off top tbh

Great music...Great time for hip hop...I slept on his 1st album but this was a 1st day cop...

Yeah, I Wish My Brother George was a "different" album that dropped in the Bay. 91 was a huge year in Cali for the gangsta shyt...You had NWA, Ice T, DJ Quik, CMW, Cube, all drop albums that year...

Del was the cat that might have dropped the first "regular dude" album in the Bay. He was talkin about shyt like sittin next to cats with jherri curls on the bus and them falling asleep on your shoulder, getting jacked for your reebok pumps n whatnot.

Both the singles on that album got all type of radio and video play. My homeboi gave me the tape and said the shyt was weak and I could have it. I knew about the album and gave it a chance. Thought it was one of the funniest albums to drop that year compared to a lot of the other west coast albums that had dropped. Cube talkin shyt throughout the album was hilarious, liked the production also. But yeah, even cats out here slept on the album at the time.
