Dudes are throwing him into the "groomed by white coaches since he was 14, so he doesn't relate to Black people " bag. Which is BS.
Deion seems like a man who is comfortable in his skin and is the same person 24/7. He said this exact comment weeks ago, and there was a thread about it. And in this thread, some have mentioned that he said this publicly when he was Head Coach at JSU.
He did say this before as you said at CU a few weeks ago and at JSU. Only difference is at CU he said I want kids from the hood and from the trailer parks to play D-line who trying to get they momma out the hood or out the trailer park.
Also this the same Deion who at a conference last year said yeah I am rich and my kids grew up rich, but I wasn't gonna let them kids go to school with them rich folks. They were gonna go to school with the regular kids cause I want to raise dawgs not cats. Basically he was saying if he raised his kids around rich folks they weren't gonna have heart and want to succeed. But if they went to school around regular folks who got regular jobs and issues (poor, middle class, white, black and other) then they gonna understand what it takes to make it.
Whether I agree with his comment or not. Deion said this and other things before at JSU that folks overlooked it and ignored it. But have now acted shocked cause he is saying the same thing at CU.
Deion is who he is period whether at an HBCU or at a PWI/HWC or on TV he is who he is, like him, love him or hate him.
