Not surprising. It's gonna be relatively easier to do this as a Power 5 team than a SWAC team, especially since Miami ain't what it used to be. Getting Travis Hunter was hella impressive.

it’s not going to be easier, he’s not running off a perfect season, (which was part of the sale, good team, hbcu, nfl exposure) if he doesn’t show and prove soon, a lot of kids are going to hesitate or hit the portal asap
Convincing a fringe D1 player or 2nd-3rd stringer to come to jsu on some black consciousness is different than come to boulder, i like the enthusiasm, but winning the off-season and winning in the fall are two different stories
wasnt this kid playing games. he didnt sign his LOI. i think it was pictures of him at the AA Game with UM stuff.
congrats to Prime on getting him. seems like the kid strung along UM
That kid been all over the place, i feel like we might be revisiting this story come next season as he moves on again
Jackson state should have robbed a bank and paid this man :francis:
They would have never got enough money, even if they could, to keep prime, he had bigger aspirations
Is Prime the Coli's new father figure? Lmaooooooooooo
Yes, the gymnastics nikkas doing to line up with his get down has me paying attention to a lot of cats, now mixed in is some legit fans of him and his situation, and they are cool

nikka, are you dumb. Hell yeah, it's easier to recruit at a P5 like Colorado than any HBCU. You got everything that's a million times better other than the culture and the females where HBCUs are superior.

Ok I’m going to keep this respectful
Colorado is where coaches go to die, are you blindly believing that just because prime is there, this will be an easy sale full stop ?

Part of the allure back at jsu was playing on the black consciousness of playing at an hbcu etc etc now he’s jumped ship ( not here to condemn that decision, but right or wrong, it will have some kids look at him differently) he’s at a school that has had little success recruiting wise or on the field, in a very long time, its a lot further away from the south ( where a lot of his talent came from, and where you need to recruit to win) it’s hard getting southern talent to the pac northwest, it’s in Colorado, where historically the black players have expressed issues with the white folk up there, or it just being plain boring, this is not the sale you think it is, ultimately time and on field success will determine the rate at which this gets rolling, but even at peak it’s still not an easy sale, under Bill when they got that chip in 90 they got a lot of juco talent, them samoans, and pre qualified kids, they were never known for high end classes

1. That's why I'm surprised he didn't take the South Florida job but then again they not power 5

2. There where the transfer portal will be helpful because kids do wanna play

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Him saying he wanted to be coached by sanders is disingenuous. He committed to Miami before he left Jackson St.

Resources are everything. Jackson St training facilities were sub par. And their meal resources for players was ass. Hunter should be at least 195 going into next year hopefully.

1. Deion ain't other coaches. What other coaches are all over Youtube, Prime, and daytime TV and ESPN. When is the last time we had a thread about Colorado football on thecoli?

2. Colorado is a high-end P5 scenery and investment wise. There is a lot more value into that than you giving it credit for.

3. All P5s got way too many white folks and not enough Black folks and while thats especially true for Colorado, nikkas got IG and NIL money these days. They can fly bytches in

USF is even more of a dumpster fire scenario to walk into and they aren’t p5

Kids want to play but do they think he has something, it’s all in the sizzle Deion can sale, while he gets his talent in place, but he’s got to show consistency on the field, also the portal is cool for year one, year two he’s got to start getting hs kids, and only using the portal fill in a few gaps, not wide spread spots
