in addition to that before these past few weeks Weaver and Horn were simply producing at a high rate … Weaver had a 170 yard game to start the year then followed it up with 100+ yard game against Nebraska… Jimmy was a standout all through camp and was the first kid to earn his number .. and Travis is Travis .. so not only are they more senior they were productive … no reason to expect true freshman to get reps over them while also practicing mediocre and/or missing film time .. it’s silly
but they’re young and will learn … and hopefully this process has been a maturation tool ..which most teenagers need

I think some of them are being too critical of Deion decision and this situation. They ‘re making light of the fact that Prime has to establish a standard or he can’t build a winning program. You can’t let players dictate the direction of your leadership. He would lose more players and hell coaches if he did. McClain needed to be benched and they won those first 3 games. The media is who blew out of proportion too,
it’s a product of a lot of generated narratives around what Deion has going on up there in colorado … silly fake controversies for doing a lot of things that are standard in the sport

People didn’t expect Deion to be able to land a “5 star” that quick so they are invested in seeing if that situation will turn volatile ..it’s silly, got nikkas pretending that Deion should be humble and deferential at the idea of even having a recruit of that caliber on his team…. these are the same nikkas pretending that they hate “favoritism” and “preferential treatment”

Nah Deion just needed to not leak that info. Cause again you say that, but once its looking like a blowout again he switch up and throw breh out there. He claimed practice wasnt great again. So he coulda threw Travis Jay out there to get burnt again but he didnt.
I just think breh is probably too aloof for Deion. Complete opposite personality and energy compared to Travis.
Deion kinda sneak joked on him (but with love) and breh got a WTF look at him.
Which makes it hard to tell if a guy really wants it or not. They said Deion was late to practice, didnt take film or the weight room seriously when he was on the Cowboys. But his swagger and talent was unquestioned. If you're aloof and fukking up it makes it really hard to tell if a guy wants it or not. Especially to a guy like Deion.

A little different. Dallas Cowboys Deion was unquestionably the man, he earned the ability to do what he did there.
I've heard nothing but the opposite reports about his dedication to practice and play while at Florida State.
I think Deion needs to alter his approach to the kid. I understand the tough love, I get that. But the kid is 18, and way the fukk away from his family and support system. I get he needs to grow up and become a man. But I think Deion kind of treats some of the kids he doesn't jive with like they are Pros and not 18 year old kids. And takes that hardcore drill sergeant mentality with some kids.
He needs to try to be more of the father figure with Cormani, that he acts like with Jimmy Horn Jr and Travis. Because Cormani showed today, he was the best player in the secondary today. Yes, he needs to improve his work ethic. But Deion doesn't need to alienate the kid, because then he'll lose him to the portal. And then Cormani will be a star on another team.
I did like how Deion showed him love publicly today, though. He probably needs Cormani to hang out more with Shedeur and Travis off the field, to get with the program.

Haha…Dude was a 2 sport star. You know he was putting that work. Cormani aint no where near the talent of Deion at 18.
Cormani need to trust Deion process and also stay close to a coach with the type NFL relationships Deion has built.

I don’t think it’s personality tbh. If it is then Cormani’s personality is clearly different on the field cuz he was shyt talking every chance he got.
I was chatting with a friend who coaches Florida high school football about this. He said you gotta play McClain but punish him in other ways… make him run in practice, take away his name on the jersey, etc. He said a lot of these teens are knuckleheads but you just gotta find what motivates them.
