I think that's why maya was casted. they play up the under-dog role all the time. they even had a storyline about her flat chest.

and despite her being unappealing and average, she has the "it" factor. kinda like Emma, but theyre taking a more realistic approach with Maya. as opposed to the way they handled emma, with them acting like she was a hot girl. same with that old-looking chick that's still on the show. and Maya looks better than them.

emma was much older tho. she prolly was like 20-something in real life when she started to look okay.
