and wouldve dissed him for what was a poor pass/decision

i like russ but to me the onus was on him
I still cant believe the ending! Tbh, stupidity of the play-call aside, Russ threw a technically good pass but it seems like Lockett wasnt even expecting it. The way he got brushed aside was incredible - almost like he ran into an unexpected accident. He didnt even have a chance to fight for it.

Had a chance to watch the highlights of the Super Bowl. What a game indeed! As for the final play that the Seattle offense made. I think its one of those plays to whereas I don't think Wilson was expecting Butler to make a break on the ball like that. I mean he just straight jumped the route so quickly. Of course it's easy to say that Lynch would've punched it in based on the stats he has in short yardage situations but at the same time, its not a guarantee. Its just a hell of a play that Butler made on the ball.

On the flip side, Tom Brady once again proves why he's one of the best if not the best quarterback in the game. He really put the team on his back and carried them to victory. If he wins one more Super Bowl, he's the greatest quarterback to play in the NFL, point blank period. Sh!t, the man went to 6 Super Bowls already so he's already an elite quarterback. I think what surprised me even more was the New England Patriots defense in the second half. I mean, they really held Seattle in check which gave the Patriots a fighting chance.

Overall, great game! I would love to see a rematch between these two teams as they both have the capabilities to make it back to the Super Bowl.

At the end if the day.... Why the fuk are you in the shotgun on the 1 yard line running a crossing route when you have Marshawn Lynch :damn:

Because Pete wanted to give Russ a chance to be the hero :snoop:

Or :beli: had him shook

cant overlook the genius of Belichick not calling a time out. He calls a time out and gives seatle a chance to think about it they will def run that ball. instead he rushed them into making a play. And Malcolm Butler read that play perfectly, he knew it was comin, he talked about how he got beat on it in practice, cant take away from the youngin for doin his homework

We gotta give Browner some credit to by him stuffing Kearse at the line it allowed Butler to have a clear direct path to jump the ball so quickly....

Great situational awareness. if that were a smaller corner he would have been pushed back. That's the exact reason we signed him in free agency AWAY FROM THE SEAHAWKS. (SARCASM) Because clearly keeping Maxwell at #2 corner was a priority because Browner had a couple bad games and got suspended, so at that point Browner could never get his job back. (TRUTH) If Pete was as good at coaching as he was at being a GM he would have recognized Browners invaluable contribution to that defense and made a push to keep him on the LOB. Clearly, the moment he was released Bill had plans for him and made it a priority signing him.

Browner was a catalyst on defense in changing the culture. After the debacle in KC Browner was off suspension and we went on a 13-2 run after he rejoined the team. The defense looked more physical, felt more in control of the tempo of the game and inevitable he was one of the main contributors to a superbowl.

That's why 2 weeks after we signed him I custom ordered a Brandon Browner in-game jersey right from the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots Pro Shop, because I knew Seattle, in that moment became weaker, and we subsequently became a better/more physical team.
