Those two are definitely some happy jolly country nikkas.

But I never understood how nikkas from Decatur be acting so hard when they come from a city that look like this..

Literally every major city has a part of town that looks like this

The NYC model doesn't seem to transfer or work in this instance

There is no singular location that is "New York City". Nyc equals the combination of the five boroughs. Brooklyn and queens would both be "NYC proper". Doesn't seem to be the same case for Decatur

You’re probably right. I was trying to use a nearby metropolis for comparison. LA might be better comparison since it’s surrounded by smaller cities that make up what is outsiders think is LA.

Most outta towners do not give a fukk about local separations or distinctions tbh.

I honestly don't expect somebody from dunwoody ga to go into geographic detail about their town, because most people wont care. I know I don't.

Just keep it simple and say ATL or better yet " metro ATL"

I’ve been to Decatur and Decatur is a nice ass town. I’m from Chicago and it’s essentially like our Oak Park and Evanston. An inner ring, upscale, street car suburb.

Yeah, I pulled those photos because that’s how Decatur looks. :heh:

Yeah Decatur may have a low end (which I hadn’t seen) but it couldn’t possibly be a substitute for “the street” that some of these rappers like to give off.

northwest decatur is beautiful. It’s gotten a lot better over the years though. I moved to decatur in 1998 from a nicer suburb of Houston, TX. I lived in Scottdale and parts of it were gutter as fukk smh. Oak hurst, candler rd, Avondale all had me like
:mjpls:. Cool people though. The west side and south sides of Atlanta were infinitely worse though. Everything west of 85/75 looked hopeless as fukk. If you told me it was going to look how it all looks now I would have told you to stop smoking peyote. Atlanta looks like Manhattan compared to how it looked up until 2006. I’m glad for the change.

That's why I say Atlanta Area. My black ass in FayCo in Tyrone.

It's easier to say that or just say Atlanta outright tho
i do the same because ppl who aren't from dallas dont know anything about its suburbs. I was born in dallas and raised in surrounding cities.

Only clowns have a problem with it

Well coming up when folks here ask where you live you usually say the street or the area. I used to say Glenwood Road, folks knew exactly where i was in Decatur. When we traveled outside of Ga, folks ask where do you live and you say Atlanta. Most ppl haven't heard of Decatur and we are in the Atlanta metro. Atlanta aint Chicago, NYC, or Philly that was designed to be where everyone lived and worked, it was designed to feed the suburbs, and like you said anything inside of the perimeter is basically on the edge of Atlanta.

Atl is made in the cul de sac expansion of america.
Which is the applied urban intellectual knowledge of cities like nyc to chicago. Created before the cul de sac zoning expansion of america.
Plus with no innovation purposefully from urban intellectual based spaces.

Say where you from.
Rep where you from.
What city what side what state chu from.
Never downplay where you from. Regardless of urban sprawl to cul de sac.

nikkaz arguing about this and playing sneak cap games. Are ignorant and have no idea about zoning whatsoever.

This shyt is old prison industrial economy applied knowledge from their bullshyt discovery zone.
gon awry and out of control.

Wherever that MARTA Bus go I consider Atlanta...

Where I live right now in Jonesboro is a suburb outside ATL..

Yo.

Real talk.

I live by the motto.
I don't fukk with nikkaz who never had to ride public transportation.
They lack in general.
Plus suffer from failure to thrive in general.
On top of no urban intellectualism.

these city threads are always funny as fukk, if you live in an inner suburb that is 5 miles from the center of another major city you basically live in the city you just get a diffrent county/city government
people have to keep their goofy neighborhood elitism up though so whatever :russ::russ::russ:

No.

After the crack boom...before migration from the prison industrial economy.

An urban intellectual based person has extreme advanced understanding on an urban intellectual actualized plane. That exhibits and is showcased in extreme disconnect to urban intellectualism for a cul de sac based person.
