Is that worth having on?
I mean, I'm going to keep it on for now as I don't find the game too hard on its own. Hopefully it doesn't ruin too many of my runs. Not sure what build that player was running but I legit could not even see them before getting murked lol

I feel like this game should come with one of those old school hardcover guide books :mjlol:

still learning the ropes…will get comfortable once I put in some quality time with it

they give you enough tutorials to get you through, im sitll getting them like 5 hours in

pretty much everything that happens before you get to choose your own destination is the tutorial

What's the difference between a rogue lite and a rogue like.

A Roguelike will try to stick pretty close to the original game, Rogue, in that each time you die/fail or whatever, it's a complete reset. You start again with nothing but whatever initial tools are available to you, and you start from scratch. The entire game must be completed in one run.

A roguelite still has you restarting your after each failure, but giving you some way to either retain some progress, or somehow I prove your character so you can push further with your runs.

So, since you retain all information gained through investigations across each loop and can eventually earn ways to retain weapons and powers across loops, this is closer to a roguelite if someone wanted to call it that.

But I don't think it really fits that label. It definitely has elementary, but the gameplay loop is definitely more involved than your standard roguelite. Its kind of in the small Time fukkery Game subgenre.

Exactly. Look at two good Roguelite's in Hades and Returnal. Those games are intended to be played in only a few ways to get through the game. They are basically driven by combat, whereas this game is driven by exploration. The more you explore the better you will do. I'm not in a rush to finish the main story at all, I'm just exploring shyt tryna get into fukkery.

glad you said that.

I’m 2 hours in and it’s too easy at this point. The rapier and 50-50 shogun chew everyone up, even from range. So far there’s no reason to think or use any tactics at all

If you are getting raided by Julianna trust me on this, play aggressively. Julianna is a lot stronger at sneak attacks, but Colt will win most of the time in a straight up fight.

I was in Updann at evening and I got raided as soon as I loaded up. I've infused some really good guns so I can kinda go guns blazing a lot if I want. I done damn near cleared out the whole level turning on turrets and cameras and shyt waiting for this bytch ass Julianna to show they face. I go to the very last place I haven't explored and I start getting hacked or some shyt, I look up in a window and there they go, I have a Rapier I got of Julianna that is basically a grenade launcher cause the bullets explode, so I popped a shot in the window. I run up and I knew he was gonna try to get me from behind so I turn around and sure enough there they went, popped them once through the window, ran towards them and popped them again and killed them. PvP is fun as hell in this game. :wow:
