bethesda is the publisher not the developer.
Bethesda has a developer team and a publishing team. This is published by the publishing team. The developers pretty much just do Fallout and Elder Scrolls, if I remember correctly.
So Deathloop 2 gonna be Xbox Exclusive. This is genius.. Let the game cook on playstation then the 2nd one drops and boom only on Xbox.. Smh..

It’s not really genius its just timing. Same thing with insomniac and Sunset Overdrive.

yeah I read earlier that this is supposed to be a one off. But with the reviews and potential sales they would be crazy to not drop a sequel.
It is mastermind.. When Microsoft bought Bethesda they could have pulled the game but they didn't..

These aren’t deals made on a handshake. Microsoft wouldn’t willingly miss out on a major game release if it were easy to “call the deal off”
I don't think you understand a buyout. Microsoft let the deal stand. Microsoft gonna eat off the PC release anyway.

They get paid from both releases, that doesn’t mean it was coordinated
They’re honoring the deals that were in place and keeping everything else

I hate when they do that because they play both sides. Xbox social media will take pot shots at Sony one day then give props when they drop a dope exclusive the next.
