The front office is actively telling us that they are full of shyt and their intentions are to kick the can down the road annually and cash a check.

Our role in the league is to perpetually lurk in the background waiting to make a move and when the opportunity comes, say nah, it's not worth it.

Hilarious.

Ainge just got Walker Kessler, three unprotected picks, and a pick swap (or was it two?) for Rudy Gobert. His asking price for Mitchell is probably insane. This is Danny Ainge we're talking about. As much as we complain about Rose and co. constantly punting, Ainge will literally ask for a ridiculous price and then play chicken all the way until it's too late.

Mitchell isn’t worth all that though

He had a solid squad with him in Utah and couldn’t do much

He would do far worse here playing with Brunson and Randle and no gobert to make up for his defense

The report says Mitchell-type player, which I'm taking to mean star player.

Mitchell on the Knicks makes no sense right now. I don't care about him.

My concern is being hesitant to move picks for a star.

The trend this off season is coughing up 3-4 picks for a star and the Knicks have 11. I don't want to hear shyt about them being hesitant to move picks, especially after what they just did in the draft.

If you're not using your picks to draft talent and you're not using your picks to trade for talent, what the fukk are they for?

The market right now is kinda crazy fam. Dejounte Murray and Rudy Gobert are the big names in trades and I'm not even sure either is the second best player on a championship team right now. Murray fetched 3 unprotected picks and a pick swap. Gobert is even crazier, 4 unprotected picks, a pick swap, and the Walker Kessler who just got drafted with a first last week.

If players of that caliber are going at those premium prices, then I'm wondering what a Mitchell or LaVine would be expected to command.

Much more, as they should, especially if we're not coming off RJ, Toppin or IQ.

We have 11 picks. Outside of coupling them with Randle or Fournier, I have no idea what the benefit of having those picks are if we're just going to continue to use them to trade back or out out the draft or not use it on talent that will make the team better, simply because other teams' asking price are perceived to be ridiculous.

If we don't use them to move Randle and Fournier, all we've done this off season is move a few moveable, buyers remorse contracts from last year for a position of need in point guard, (that wouldn't have been a need had we drafted a real point guard in any of the 2-3 loaded guard drafts prior to this one) and signed a stretch 5.

Not exactly the active off season presented, and not the active off season needed for a team who's alleged star player quit on us last year.

If the Knicks make a trade I wanna see them go after a sf so RJ can move back to the 2, but I don't mind waiting on a trade so we can see what we have in Cam first. Brehs an enigma, I wanna see if he can make the leap to a good player because he has the talent to do so.
The athleticism is definitely there.

Lowkey, we could trade Fournier to Golden state and he would be an excellent wing off the bench.

They should go after Spider Mitchell
I know defense and all that but Brunson, Mitchell and RJ would have crazy potential on offense together
They definitely have the assets to get him if he's on the market

Now just imagine if they had just drafted him back in 2017 instead of that French hype job they wouldn't have to go through all this

Mind you, I’d do it if we would have gotten Murray for a good price. Cause that’s an excellent backcourt pairing for him. But trading the farm for Mitchell to pair with Brunson is a recipe for disaster.
