They made him assistant GM in Utah. Wade deserves to be in the homeboy hall of fame.
Assistant GM :picard: I almost felt bad for them until I remembered Scott Perry is still our GM :snoop:

Fiz is a perfect assistant coach. He can walk around with his wooden glasses, shoot the shyt with the players, cheese on the bench during shootarounds, take photos for his wife's IG. But they went ahead and gave him a front office job

He would have been the perfect coach for KD and Kyrie…..

Nah he would have probably sucked at that too

Eh not mad at not getting Murray

We still have a lot of picks to go after a disgruntled star

Idk why we didn’t just offer a lot for Murray who is on a cheap contract and is just as good as Brunson and then use our money elsewhere
Not much of a elsewhere. This FA is honestly kind of bare and Brunson is one of the better FA. Knicks got to move Fournier if they legit want to make a run. Teams are going to look attack him and Randle, and you can only hide one of them. Better to move Fournier before the playoffs.

Yeah having one of those contracts is actually not too bad for the production they provide

There's absolutely zero chance Barrett will take less than Brunson. Literally zero unless his agent is complete ass
They're gonna be fishing for that max extension
Then he'd better wait until the middle of the season for talks because he hasn't proven to be consistently good yet.

If Knicks don’t get Brunson they’ll be the clowns of the entire league

Nobody wanna see another year of Randle and RJ
they been that for years breh

the knicks acting like brunson is lebron or something its pathetic. every time we try to make moves all we do is clear cap space hoping a good free agent will come but they wont cause all the players know the organization is a joke and we end up at best with signing average players to superstar deals

A interesting free agent I could see the Knicks maybe throw the Room exception or remaining cap space at after Brunson is signed is Donte Divincenzo.

This FO has three things they value as role models for what success is. Thibs Bulls, the 2004 Pistons, and those Villanova championship teams. If they grab Donte and Brunson they basically have that team’s backcourt.

Divincenzo could be a very cost effective Burks replacement, and a good piece to have once Derrick Rose contract is up.

Also I don’t think Jay Wright is a Thibs replacement but I would love if they brought him in as an offensive consultant. Don’t even travel with the team, just be here for training camp, strategy sessions, and home games.

Why do people keep acting like this is the case? They moved some second-round picks for cap space and they're signing him to around the 45th most expensive contract in the league. They're acting like he's a starting PG, and that's about it.

Divincenzo is alright, but I think we have enough glut at the guard spots as it is. I'd like to move Fournier and Rose before considering another addition. Grimes is high-key a nice compliment to Brunson's playstyle...I hope he comes back from the offseason and snatches that role.

I think moving Fournier should be a priority, especially is a solid 2 way wing becomes available. Rose too, but I doubt they got the balls to do it based on relationships. However, a solid perimeter defender could help a lot off the bench. Say they move both somehow and don’t replace them with other players because of cap space reasons.

Brunson/IQ
Donte/Grimes
RJ/Reddish
Randle/Toppin
Mitch/Sims

is a really good team. A little small at the wing but solid overall.
