IQ last 14 games: 15 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 3.6 APG, .9 SPG on 47/44/88 splits (66.3% TS) - only cracked 30 minutes 3 times

I been mentioning in my recaps, that I think IQ's game looks like it might have taken a leap. His reads have come a long way. He's driving THROUGH the hoop instead of looking for whistles and free throws by pulling up early. He also figured out how to draw whistles again plus his shooting is waking up finally.

But it's hard to say because he doesn't get the kind of minutes to really show and prove it. He's proven himself in terms of second-unit talent, but could he jump up and be an impact player like Tyrese Maxey became when he got promoted? No damned clue because Thibs won't even try it.

maxey AVERAGES more minutes per game than julius randle.
maxey would be relegated to 20 mpg if he was on the knicks and considering just a 6th man fukking around with thibs...and by many accounts we wanted to draft maxey first and settled for IQ.

On a Sidenote Charlotte defense has to be the worst thing that I have ever seen this year. I can see why Hornets fans be screaming to fire Borrego.

Ben Taylor has an interesting analysis on NBA defense and officiating as the season has gone on.

It’s hard to say how much of this from both Barrett and Quickley can be attributed to that.

I saw an image not too long ago of a chart that showed a crazy increase in foul calls and free throws in the past couple months. I wonder if that's related. I'll look for his work on the topic for sure, good looks.

Yessir, Maxey got a big opportunity and stepped up in a massive way. I really wonder what IQ could do with that level of opportunity because look at him in this game for example. Just much more poised and effective as an impact player beyond just the scoring. The only person pre-draft that I saw really shout out his chances as playmaker was @Wargames. That's a money call.
