I understand the complaints a lot of yall have and agree with many.

But yall are beating a dead horse for the fact that this is based on a movie most of us already know about.

Why are yall suprised?

Sam Whites whole character arc is based on being a militant tragic mulatto who falls for a white dude

That wasn't gonna change.

I just hope they expand on her issues and go deeper now that it's a series.

Maybe show that dating white boys ain't all its cracked up to be and that even the "cool" ones can be racist .

From what I've read and seen he's barely a character to be dealt with. It's not about where people and is about us. But being upset at a character being conflicted about her identity is silly to me. But I get it I'm not militant coli and I believe in nuance so I'm wrong for that
