He's been playing international ball against grown men for years, put 17pts 18rebs on the tar heels that played in the NC when he was 15.

@Swagnificent just finding out about him late and starts the hype like he hasn't been projected as a top 3 pick for the last 2 years.

Got I hope swag don't jix this brotha.

Now if we can just get the hoe ass NBA to actually call fouls when big men post up and get hacked....:francis:

Ayton certainly deserves to be in the mix and is a real threat to go #1, he's currently third on my board behind Bagley and Doncic. I'm not putting too much weight into a player's production in an exhibition game against a team like East Mexico, but Ayton's talent is off the charts.

I think you're underselling his physique a bit. Don't get me wrong, Mutombo had amazing physical tools, but Ayton is much more powerful of an athlete than Mutombo was. He's really strong and physically imposing, and I project he'll get stronger and stronger very quickly.

While he doesn't actually have a 44" vert, he's definitely got ups and his ability to leap off of either foot in traffic and in space is impressive.

He can dominate you in the post with his physical tools alone, he has shooting touch and range, can handle it a bit, is a beast on the glass, and has all the tools to be an elite defender.

Ayton's talent level is that of a superstar in this league. His IQ is still catching up to his talent, but it's definitely improving, and he had motor question in high school, but he looks to have been dispelling those as of late. I think it was the result of boredom in high school much like we saw from someone like Ben Simmons at LSU.

I still can't put him ahead of Bagley who I think is still the most overall gifted player in the draft and one of the most gifted talents of this decade, or Doncic who is putting up absolutely unheard of production against the best non-NBA competition in the world for almost any player let alone one of the youngest guys in the class.

Also ayton didn't start playing until he was 13 years old.

The future is Embiid and Wiggins.

Embiid is the best post player since Shaq while Wiggins is the best perimeter player since Kobe.

They'll decide who win championships starting in 2020.
Wiggins over T-Mac, LeBron, KD, Melo, Wade?

Damn y'all think DeAndre Ayton is the next David Robinson, quite the comparison. :francis:

I think Ayton can be number one, Bagley doesn't impress me like that :manny:

Center self, inner self
Bagley has been playing with professionals all summer and was holding his own.

The way he looks in College will be different than the way we looks in the pros due to the nature of the game.
Dude is basing his disappointment with Bagley on one exhibition game lol. Bagley will be a different player come Late January.
I'll wait until I see more from him before making a conclusion about his NBA potential. I will say that his first game was unimpressive. And I'm not talking stats or whether he hit shots. I'm talking about looking at him physically. He just didn't come off as a high level athlete or being physically imposing because of his measureables.

Hopefully he looks better going forward.
Again, it was an exhibition game. His first two possessions were turn overs. Dude was hella nervous.
Kevin knox from Kentucky is..bump this in a couple months for sleeping on him
I was actually really surprised by how good he looked in UKs exhibition game.

Ayton is going to be a superstar in the league. I think his dominance in college will mirror Greg Odens, though it appears he may not be as talented defensively. Dude is an absolute monster though, and he reminds me ALOT of Hakeem Olajuwon. I do NOT want to play Arizona this year (mega Duke fan).
Looks like a fukkin monster. Superstar potential. They say he 7’1 but he look bigger than that. Franchise player. The Doncic #1 talk will be dead mid season.

This. Ayton will be the top pick.

the wolves are horrible....

....defensively.

They can score and have an elite go-to player in the clutch in Wiggins.

Wiggins should carry them past the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs this year and I expect him to deliver an epic series against the future NBA Champion OKC Thunder in the second round only to fall short in game 7.
