Ambrose was even worse in the indys than in WWE, no clue how he is supposed to miraculously change his level when the WWE style suited him better.

Ok.... that’s fair enough.

I didn’t see a lot of his “indie” stuff pre WWE.

At the same time in all fairness people can evolve but I feel what you’re saying.

I’d still like to see a little bit of what he’d be now without Vince bookers and writers and just him and another guy working it out behind the curtain or calling it in the ring.

Sink or swim.:yeshrug:

I mean he has enough money to live without working again so he really won. If I was him, take a whole year off and see how AEW is doing then make his decision on what promotion to join if feels like it.
He could get movie roles as the drug dealer, hitman type.

I clowned him most of his career and don't think he's that great a worker, but the guy was legitimately one of the most over in the company at points. Fall 2014 and Fall 2015-WInter 2016 he was as over as anyone. If he goes to AEW he's not a Sandow or Mr Kennedy or something, he's a legit upper midcarder/main eventer that will get people excited. If he can be R rated he might move the needle for them too.

Wonder if he announced it before jobbing to the almighty or was losing the IC belt the breaking point? :ohhh:

Wow, didnt see this coming, although that network special he did made it sound like he had one foot out the door for a while now.. They should have been pulled the trigger on the shield triple threat, :manny:

At the same time his character never really turned that corner and his in ring work was always sloppy, in hindsight its no surprise he never really got that top guy push

Ambrose has been mentally checked out since that botched Seth feud-botched Wyatt feud double whammy in late 2014. Once it was starkly illustrated how little the brass cared about him, he basically decided to stack chips and coast until now. You'd see little flashes here and there, but even those flashes were mostly killed after the WM 32 Brock match when Brock fukked off his ideas to do his usual thing and probably completely killed when he destroyed himself in 2016 only to end up in the exact same position he was in before (he has to shoulder some blame here for being a lazy worker, but we saw what NOT being a lazy worker did for guys like Cesaro and even Bryan, to an extent).

It wasn't good entertainment, but anyone who's been in a corporate environment and hasn't felt valued should sympathize with his position. I'm hoping for the best for my Ohio bretheren.

Didn't see this live since I don't watch WWE programming anymore, but Christ. This is Shawn Michaels-level overselling. :laff: :laff:

Makes sense why he oversold Rollins last night. He won't be missed. One of the more overrated talents in the company. He can take his non personality having wife with him.
