i watched the first season on hbogo and loved it so much, but i knew they canceled this show before its time, had lotta fans upset, so i decided to stop bc i didnt wanna be disappointed with being left without proper resolution....sucks bc every1 says what u guys say, top 3 caliber hbo show alltime. what a waiste

the language used in this show is unparalleled. maybe I won't be rewatching the show any time soon, but I definitely will sometime in the future
the season structure was a bit underwhelming and all about politics, but once you got into the groove with all the characters and machinations of the town, what a swell time taking in everything the show has to offer
recently finished this myself and enthusiasm ranged from "meh" to "wow" constantly, I suppose it depended on my mood at the time. seeing as Deadwood was a fixed place you kinda got used to as a while, it couldn't really get away with simply existing
was fine with the finale, they did all they could've done in regards to that
IMO season 2 was the weakest, the whole Cy vs Al thing ended up going nowhere, and all they did was set up season 3

I've finally started Deadwood. I've always been a huge fan of Westerns and wanted to watch in real time but could never fit into the watching schedule. This show is amazing. I love how most of the industry's great character actors are all on this. Exchanges between Swearengen and Farnum are A+
