I read the article in Game Informer about it...they stressed that the single player is still the most important part of the game, and co-op is just an addition.shyt is starting to look like Gears of War. Watch them drop 4-player coop and a horde mode in Dead Space 4
I don't really mind...1 was amazing, and 2 was a very nice follow-up, despite having multiplayer component that made no sense.

You won't lose out one bit - excerpt from Game Informer:As long as I don't feel like i'm losing out by not playing this with another person, I guess it'll be alright. I'm just hating this trend of of these so called "survival horror" games turning into a full blown action game ala Gears/Call of Duty/etc.
The original Dead Space is the last game that had a nikka shook while playing . Most of the younger generation are looking for the next mindless shooter to latch on to, so I can't really get mad at EA for trying to get that paper . I just hope the genre doesn't die out completely.
I have faith in them, at least that they won't fukk up the horror worse than CAPCOM did with the RE series.GI said:Head of Visceral Games:
"We made sure that the single-player experience in Dead Space 3 retains all of the atmospheric elements, the feeling of isolation - all the things that players come to expect from a Dead Space game are maintained when you're playing single-player. It's not going to feel like a different game all of a sudden. But when players choose to play with a friend, and I make and emphasis on the word 'choose,' we want to make sure the experience feels different. So we've created a drop-in, drop-out co-op that actually changes when another person joins your game."
Visceral realizes that the game simply won't be as scary when two players team up.
