Hogan's heel run wasn't that deep breh. Hulk let everyone know why he turned with the promo at Bash, and his entire run as Hollywood was just him re-establishing himself as the top guy in wrestling. Hulk's creative freedom combined with bad contracts were all a part of the downfall of the company. His heel run was born simply out of insecurity.

But I thought this whole series was about them kayfabe breaking down the psychology behind a good heel? Or is this just another theme to highlight certain characters?

Maybe I misunderstood what this show was supposed to be about

I’ve generally found Orton’s career to be kind of underwhelming but there’s no doubt dude understands the business. Like compare this 15 second clip of Randy to the entirety of Adam Cole’s career. How do you see what randy just explained and then be invested in Sammy Guava?

In just five seconds Orton's demeanor went from ordinary dude to a damn supervillain.

That's the kind of acting you can't teach. You either possess it, or you don't. :banderas:
Does anyone in AEW have it? I don’t get how you have an entire roster of people with no charisma.

Unpopular Opinion but these aren't meant for hardcore fans

Seems like a boring career recap for each Superstar
:yeshrug:
Especially with how they revise history on certain events. They legit made it look like Miz beat Cena cleanly at WM :pachaha:

Then had the nerve to say that Taker and Kane let by gones be by gones and just became cool with each other for the hell of it. Ignoring the fact they only became “cool” just to get the title away from Austin. And then acting like they became a tag team ever since ignoring their on again off again relationship through out the years :pachaha:

This show is legit catered to the casual fan that doesnt regularly watch the product. Which i get.

But overall i like the show for what it is and how they blurred the line between shoot and kayfabe.

Wished they had a Triple H episode.

Damn shame they fired Bray Wyatt. An “Evil” episode with him would have been :wow:

I could have just imaged he would be talking as “himself” and then shift into his “Eater Or Worlds” character, then shift into the “Playhouse,” to :demonic: Field :demonic: on some “Split” shyt. Mix that with a “reformed” Alex Bliss talking about how he “corrupted” her with commentary with the other talking heads and shyt would have legit been captivating television. :wow:

Damn you Vince :damn:!!!

Watched the Hogan episode and while it was nothing new it was well produced

After that, I skimmed over who they were covering in the next few eps and yeah...idk lol
Miz is a heel but I never thought of him as an all time hateable in storyline guy, Sasha is just as much a face as heel. Stephanie could be interesting, Taker/Kane are like face and heel, Flair is probably good and the Roman and Randy ep are probably good

Its a shame they cut or they're in other companies people cause Bray woud have been a great one, Jericho, Punk in his straight edge society days, Jake the Snake as a heel. Surprised they didnt do Dibiase, Triple H, Heel Doink, Yokozuna, Vader, Rick Rude, Vince himself, Roddy Piper, Shawn Michaels heel to face to heel back to face.

I'll watch the other eps in full cause the first looked well put together though

I think they'll be doing more of these tho'... likely get another season, especially with the response these eps have been getting. I'd think they'd definitely do HHH, Piper, DiBiase, probably Charlotte...

Jake is an interesting one tho'. He was a heel in other places way more than he was in WWF. Just like Undertaker, he was a babyface for a much longer time than he was a heel. It was really only the first year he was there (he debuted shortly before Mania II and had turned face in the month prior to III)... then he was a face for over 4 years until turning heel in summer '91, and he was gone after the following Mania. Then when he came back in late '95, he was a face until he left in early '97.

Just finished the Taker/Kane episode and man…

I’ve said it a million times and will again. NOBODY does production like the WWE :wow:

Shocked there’s no HHH episode but I guess its cause of the issues he had. Or maybe he’ll be in this Stephanie one. Starting now.
