No idea. I think it is just creative differences.
Allen said their plan was always to work on solo movies so that if his brother (Albert) found an interesting movie he was passionate about but he (Allen) wasn’t interested or vice versa. But he also said that they’ll always collaborate

One of the most underappreciated films of all time. It has an unprocessed feel about it. Something that is sorely lacking in today's cinema.

He's a great actor. That movie he did with Vin Diesel way back when was good too. 'A Man Apart' it was called.
I had the DVD to this but I don't own a better physical copy. I'm not even sure what streamer it's on. I need to see it soon.
