ORCHARD PARK, NY-- An Orchard Park woman is accused of altering her infant child's food source by mixing breast milk with ethanol.

Kimberly A. Lawton, 36, of Glendale Terrace, was arrested Thursday. She has been charged with attempted felony assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Court papers say on or about April 4th of this year, Lawton allegedly tampered with her infant son's food source "for a purpose other than a lawful medical or therapeutic treatment" that if ingested could cause injury or death to the child.

She didn't try to kill her baby - the baby was stillborn and she just freaked out and didn't know how to dispose of it. This other lady intentionally tried to poison her baby.

That's an assumption and hasn't yet been determined. They are performing an autopsy to determine if the baby was born alive.
