Reminds me of that story about Stalin and his son during WWII.
Stalin's son was a Lieutenant in the Red Army, and was subsequently captured by the Germans. When Hitler learned about the family connection, he sent a letter offering a prisoner exchange, and asked for several Generals be sent back to Germany.
Stalin sent a letter backing saying "I would never trade Generals for a Lieutenant."
