What were the protections on this Bulls picks they got back?
It was our own pick, it was top 10 protected this year and top 8 next year.

They could have avoided needing to trade for it back by just... gracefully taking a clear step back this season, which they refused to do until now.

MAJOR shoutout to Fox. Let’s not forget there’s a whole generation of players who chose locale instead of demanding trades to championship-ready teams/players. His legacy will be rewarded he’s gonna ride Wemby to the hall of fame pause:

It’s gonna be funny af watching him leapfrog a lot of his peers, fair or not
Good point

Fox is smart

He don't care about glamour, youngin wants to WIN

Are you aware the NBA DRAFT IS A LOTTERY :gucci: its no guarantee that pick isn't fukking 12 or some shyt. if you not picking top 3 you liable to draft nikkas like Patrick Williams. The contracts they got back aren't even all up next year either iirc. Its just objectively a retarded trade.
Don't matter. If you don't have the guys that can identify talent, more reason to tank in the future because then the pick can be made for you while firing AK and getting someone who can instead of pretending to compete.

It shortens your money by a year (2026 is supposed to be a better year to potentially have cap space) and you get off a shyt deal. I'm not even that much in love with it for the Bulls, but you get to pick a direction now and got rid of LaVine. Someone had the benevolence of sending you a pick back you shoulda never traded. Be thankful San Antonio paid the freight for the picks and not you.

Thats the thing they wanted to get offa Lavine to completely tank, but its not a shyt deal lol. Lavine is fukking good, hes just not a tier 1 player who will carry a team.

What I'm trying to say is its obvious they have no actual plan and can't even tank right, and in the NBA tanking isn't even a guarantee your team will get right. the lottery is a such a silly concept to me but it is what it is and its not going anywhere.

I like this trade for everyone involved:yeshrug:

Spurs get the best player in the trade to put next to Wemby
Bulls get out of Lavine’s Contract that they never should have been in to begin with
Kings get a bunch of picks for a disgruntled Fox and Zach could maybe could replace Fox.

Everyone got what they wanted.
