Goodfellas is a funnier more entertaining story but Casino has better acting and slightly better characters. Some days I prefer Goodfellas, some days its Casino.
And then joe pesci’s character ends up sleeping with the wife..... I felt bad for Dinero in this movie, he was trying to do right by everyone and still caught Heat for trying to be a Goodfella. I guess he wasn’t really Untouchable, maybe Once Upon a Time, he could have been a Taxi Driver with Bronx Tales to tell, rather than living his life trying to hold back from being a Raging Bull.

The fukk? I wish dudes knew how Casino was made. I don’t feel like getting into it, but it was THE REALEST Italian Gangster movie ever made. Dudes that were going away for life basically wrote the script once they heard Deniro was involved. The guy that wrote the book, was just using transcripts to put a book together to secure the funding from the studios.

Can't put Casino over Goodfellas. Goodfellas just has a pacing and flow to it that Casino lacks imo. Casino drags a bit in some parts and the voice over work isn't as natural as Goodfellas', just a little too much exposition imo whereas Goodfellas showed you more without spelling everything out. They're both classics though

Listen Scorsese was on his A-game with both Goodfellas and Casino but I believe the directing job he did on Goodfellas is slightly better. It has scenes in it that nobody could ever recreate, like this.. this is filmmaking genius shyt
