De La Soul Member Dave aka Trugoy The Dove Has Apparently Passed Away at 54

My auntie is 57 told me that back in Congo DRC when my grandfather reached 50, he pulled her and my uncle and told them that statistically he has reached an age when he could die at any time so they should know about it. Luckily granddad lived until 86. Here, I when you reach 50 all Canadian public services employees must pass all types all medical exams. In my opinion, by 50, you should have your affairs in order and a testament ready.

I dunno brother. Most old people I know died older. 50-55 is looking like a real critical age range for vets of hip hop.

It's heart breaking.

R.I.P Dave Jude Jolicoeur a.k.a. Trugoy the Dove and Plug 2. Absolute Hip Hop legend. For a long time, I didn't know he was Haitian.

De La Soul is one of my fave Hip Hop groups and Hip Hop GOAT. Dave Jude Jolicoeur a.k.a. Trugoy the Dove and Plug 2 will be missed.
