fukkin snakes and leeches.

Nobody close to them would willingly talk to anybody writing an unauthorized book, so this talentless MFer is pulling quotes and info from old magazine interviews and video footage.

i didn't know how the book came about, but this is how the 33 1/3 series operates. This would be one strange lawsuit though. A guy writes a book bigging up his favorite group praising them and their albums in every chapter only to be sued for it? :russ: . It's definitely the first case of its kind in hip hop history. Reminds me of Masta Ace's song "acknowledge". The High and Mighty made a song shouting out Ace giving him respect and someone told Ace they were dissing him. He released a scathing diss track only to discover the whole thing was a lie and they never dissed him.

I've seen the 33 1/3 books at the library, and I thought it was for classic albums.

De La had momentum leading up to getting their record rights back, and then tragedy struck. Put them in the spotlight for the wrong reason.

I feel like an actual fan would put a book out during a lull in the career of an act. Showing them appreciation when the general public wasn't.
This seems like a money grab.
