If he does, it's got to be a more recent thing. Since he's become that "safe" actor everybody likes, it's a layup that someone would have gotten in his ear.

I know Geoff Johns wrote him heavily in his 2000s JSA run.
Also he had a running storyline in the weekly 52 series in the early 2000s as well( not to be confused with the New 52 era of the 2010s) that dealt with him and the Mighty Isis who is also in the movie.
If you have a Comixology app it should be able to search those runs.
"Lets force out 17 films this year, maybe one of them will be good!!"
That being said I hope Black Adam is the exception.
