If this is true then I will be at the movies on Day One like I am for all of Tom Cruise's action movies.

they kinda gave away the plot by saying he'd only do the film if he didnt die (which is what happened in the original script)
IMO he shouldn't die tho, let him play the background to John Steward in a GL trilogy of films and in the 3rd film have him become Parallax or whatever its called and have John Steward defeat him reluctantly with tears
Give Michael B Jordan the John Stewart role (it makes sense business wise since Black Panther mad a billion and he was apart of that)
My OG pick would have been Idris Elba but he's playing Bond plus he's too old for the role.

It's weird I used to actually hate this guy but now I like him. A testament to his longevity and also the lack of newer charismatic leads who can carry a movie on their back by themselves.

Meh. John Stewart is my fav DC character and I've hard passed on watching any DCEU flick since BvS/SSquad (or future ones coming out) until I see Stewart in a starring role.
If they're going to change shyt up to accommodate Tom Cruise and possibly make him the "true" star, good for them but that'd be the nail in the coffin with my interest in DC.
We've been getting nothing but these meh GLC casting rumors for years now. Idris, Tyrese, breh from moonlight, Pine, other white folk, etc. The sooner they get to announcing shyt for real, the sooner we can finally move on one way or another
