I'm mostly a silver/bronze age marvel stan, so there's a lot of good DC stuff I haven't read. I liked Watchmen, the Dark Knight Returns, Year One, and All-star Superman though. I'm open to suggestions for GOAT level DC storylines :obama:

When it comes to events and overall, DC has better highs, but worse lows. They have coie and infinity crisis, but they also have bloodlines and idenitity crisis.(Straight crap)marvel has good events at times, but a good portion of the time lateltly they take a good idea and fukk it up before the run ends. Civil war, pleasannt hill and spider verse are good examples of that. Characters wise they are in the same ballpark, but Marvel's financial woes has made them willing to do more with other characters, while DC has been using batman as their mainliner, and that's screwed them to the point that people think DC has boring characters.

I thought identity crisis was great until the end.

Grant Morrison's Animal Man. Jeff Lemire's run was really good too

Alan Moore's Swamp Thing run. Scott Snyder's run was good and tied into Lemire's Animal Man.

52 the weekly series was surprisingly solid the whole way through.

Days of Vengeance

Court of Owls

Knightfall

I, Vampire (Nu52) might not be for everybody since it isn't a superhero book.

Jonah Hex (the pre 52 run)

There was a Spectre book that launch after Infinite Crisis that had a Dr. 13 backup. Both stories were really good

I read that the Vertigo Haunted Tank was really good but I haven't gotten around to it yet

Sandman Mystery Theatre

Suicide Squad Trial by Fire

Superman Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?

Batman Long Halloween

Superman For the Man That Has Everything

There was a Steel elseworlds story that was set during slavery that I remember really liking as a kid. Not sure how it still holds up

Those are just some. They got a lot of little stories that are underrated

i think dc is better with individual characters like batman and superman. but i like marvels series that a group focused (xmen and fantastic four especially) more than the dc group ones.
. I do think Superman is just a terrible character tho. And being the lead guy didn't really make me curious to check DC out either.
im a superman stan so im curious about which superman stories youve read? i have some i can recommend if you want

What's some really good marvel stuff out right now?

I can think of several things DC has going on that I'm excited about or at least cautiously optimistic for, but have no idea what's even going on in marvel.

A big reason I haven't been able to get into Marvel lately is they have way too many books and way too many characters to follow.

Also, I hate when I hear people say shyt like how DC characters aren't 'relatable.'

That's absurd to me because DC's core values are about characters trying to be the best heroes (and people) they can be, finding their purpose in life, and living up to a legacy, and encouraging each other to do the same. That's extremely relatable to me.
