The very first thing we hear in the audio from the confrontation is, "You hit me one more time, I'll put you in your place!"
This tells us two things:
- David has already assaulted Goliath before the camera starts rolling
- Goliath never even retaliated after ^that initial assault, only responding to it with a verbal threat to "put him in his place" if David hits him again.
So it sounds like David is actually the bad guy, NOT Goliath. Until we look a little further:
- Goliath has David's change, for whatever reason.
- Goliath is also all up in David's face/personal space as David is at the register seemingly trying to finish the transaction. This breach of personal space and/or alleged taking of David's money could be the reason David initially assaulted him in the first place, in which case he has every right in my opinion. Maybe not legally, but still.
- After David manages to snatch his receipt away, Goliath grips him up in a bear hug. This can't be in compliance with Walmart Employee Policy and Procedures.
- Goliath allegedly smelled like eggs, also potentially violating Walmart Employee Policy(Employee Hygiene)
