Yo I just came in here to talk about the celtics... but accidentally clicked on your sig, and saw that horrible ass music video. How you look like a combination of Satnam Singh and Tom Landry

well given that they totally struck out in free agency this year with both picks and cap space, they'd certainly be better off NOT making the playoffs as u mentioned in order to get legit pieces.

THATS MY POINT...CELTRICS CEMENTED THEMSELVES AS A MIDDLE-OF-THE-PACK TEAM, FOR A SECOND CONSECUTIVE SEASON

Could get the 4 seed. That would pacify fans for a year. At least one more trade is coming and this trade actually saved us money on next year's cap because we were going to otherwise stretch waive him..which would have put between 3.5-5.0m of dead money on our cap. This move has no bearing on anything other than this year. Its not like Lee is locked up for 4 years.

People keep saying middle of the pack and seem to forget we had the best record in the east after the Isaiah trade and we got better

Not saying we are the number one seed but I do think we can make it to the second round if this team stays as is...

With that being said, I still think there's going to be more trades

Also; did anybody see the picture of Sullinger today? He lost the weight

On a team with Kelly Olynk, Jared Sullinger, and Amir Johnson. David Lee is far from a guarantee in seeing heavy minutes next season.
David Lee is far better than all of those players.
People act like because he didn't fit in golden states system and sat on bench, he's suddenly not as good as he used to be. Dude is still a fringe all star talent offensively.
The rest of those guys are second string players with upside.

:mjlol:

They may get a 7th seed but a fourth seed?
Cleveland
Chicago
Atlanta
Miami/Indiana
Milwaukee

All look better on paper right now.

Washington and Toronto still look better too to be honest.

4 seed just by winning the division. unless the seeding is changed they could compete with toronto :yeshrug:

they wont have the 4th best record

i said in celtics thread 44 +/- 3 wins :yeshrug:

Yeah but at this point Lee is a second string player with upside. He's not going to put up All Star numbers for the Celtics

Also if Amir comes in healthy and plays defense Boston is going to have the same issue GS had when it came to choosing who gets minutes between Lee and a guy who plays defense and can get garbage points.
:yeshrug:

The only reason this isn't a outright bad trade is Wallace is done at this point and Lee can give the Celtics something offensively.

In regards to Sullinger he did lose the weight for now but I wouldnt get your hopes up young fella. As each year passes it will become progressively more difficult for him to manage his weight. Trade him Danny

Just one more thing, I also believe the Celtics could get into the 2nd round. Never liked them but they were fun to watch last year. They play the game the right way
