2013 playoffs - Manu, Parker and Splitter all had lingering injury issues - they weren't going to beat the Spurs regardless if Lee was playing or not.
2014 playoffs - they would've beaten the Clippers if Bogut was healthy, but then would've lost to the Thunder in the next round.
All that would've changed had Jackson had a healthy squad in his last two seasons was ONE more series win. They were NEVER a contender under him.
See -
Under Jackson, they were 30th in the league in passes per game - 246.6 (Nuggets were second to last yet they still averaged 17 more passes than they did - 261.9)
Under Kerr, they were 7th in the league in passes per game - 315.9 (plus they were 1st in assists per game, 1st in secondary assists per game, 1st in assist to pass percentage and 1st in potential assists).
They literally went from the worst passing team in the league to arguably the best (from Jackson to Kerr).
- Went from having a league-average offense to one of the greatest offenses in history
- Went from being the worst off-ball movement team to the best off-ball movement team
- Kerr brought Barnes into the starting lineup and gave him more of a role on offense - allowing Iggy to help run the 2nd unit - bottom 10 bench to arguably the best bench in the league (Jackson did neither of these things)
- Kerr gave Bogut more of a role on offense, centered around his strengths
- Demanded more from Curry on the defensive end to tighten a weak point in the starting lineup, strengthened the 2nd unit defense (went from top-10 to one of the best defenses in the modern era)
- Jackson's inability to handle different backgrounds/personalities on the team led to disharmony in the lockerroom/players not being used right
- Kerr managed minutes more effectively which allowed his squad have a more balanced, reliable offense/defense, gave more players offensive freedom - which in turn not only allowed them to be fit and healthy for the playoffs but also allowed Kerr to switch up lineups/rotations in the playoffs to get them over humps.
