I didn't even know Vladimir Furdik was the NK actor, so I wasn't fooled into thinking a fan page was an inside source. I was just addressing the corniness of that logic if it were to play out like that.

If I thought that was an actor giving hints I'd be crying about spoilers lol.

There's been theories for years that bran ends up the night king so it wouldn't be completely out of left field

Yea, I know that theory's been around for years, but if that's the justification for it, it's corny and stupid.

I asked in the main thread what people were using to justify that theory and all I got was a picture of the army of the dead marching in the shape of a wolf. Extremely weak evidence. Is there more?

It would be lazy for the NK touching Bran to designate him to be an heir. If he dies, Bran becomes the new NK with the powers of the 3ER. It makes wanting to kill Bran and opening himself up to be even more idiotic. However, with 4 hours and 3 episodes left, being solely focused on Cersei is boring. Unless Dragon Queen dies and Jon becomes the Dragon's new owner and marches down to take the thrown and makes the North independent.

Unless that happens, Bran becoming new NK is fine.

Dany's vision in the House of the Undying has always made me think the White Walker threat would extend to King's Landing. Yeah, Jon Snow ending up on the throne could be the interpretation of the specific vision she has, but that seems pretty obvious. The only thing stopping Dany from getting the throne at this point is in-fighting between her and Jon. The Golden Company ain't doing shyt, against two dragons. shyt the Platinum or Diamond Company ain't doing shyt, either. Reverting to fighting over the throne seems really anti-climactic to me. I also think Cersei should pay for her hubris in the face of the White Walker threat. While she has her own prophecy that's still in play, I think that can work in conjunction with the White Walkers still being lithe overall antagonist in the end.

RE: the dragons

Don't forget Cersei has the dragon crossbow. They even emphasize it in the new credits

I peeped that from episode 1 and I'm sure it will have a part to play. I guess knowing that GRRM gave them the basic outline of the series, I can't see throne squabbles being the ending of the books. Like someone wins the Iron Throne and that's it? Why has the fact "Winter is coming" been parroted since day one? I loved episode 3, but I've seen enough shows/movies and read enough books to know how story structure works. As much as the show and books subvert tropes, I can't see this being the last we've seen of the White Walkers as they've been set up to be the imminent threat from scene one episode one. We know the Battle of Winterfell is the biggest battle in show and cinema history. I doubt a battle will be the centerpiece of these last three episodes. More political intrigue would seem to undermine the idea of "breaking the wheel" or putting the people first. What do I know, doe?:yeshrug:
