It makes no sense, the ppl that need to be there aren't interested . These events attract black that's already got that heads on straight. And they have conversations about how things are fukked up and how to fix it,but the problem is, it's all talk. After they go back home and continue living the same as beforeIve never been to one, but generally Im always for Black Unity even if I may not agree with a specific platform, or agenda, some specific groups may push.
May I ask why you say they are a joke? Is it the message? Or you feel its a con for money? Elaborate please.
The ppl that need to be there hearing the message and the ppl that show up are usually already successful and just go , relive themselves of guilt for being successful. It makes them feel like their contributing to something.
U can't wake up somebody that's already set in their ways, like for example me and my dad was at the waterfront hanging out and we ran into my half of retard cousin who's 32 with mental problems, and hes a fukk up and he got problems with his parents. My dumbass dad pulled him to the side to talk , give him a message of guidance I suppose
And after I told him that his speech was pointless because the guy os set in his ways. He's like sling blade and 32 , do u really think your 50 second pep talk will change him? But the truth is, my dad just wanted to feel some sort of moral victory, like he did his part, when in reality it went over his head, plus he couldn't comprehend it if it didn't
That's what these black conventions are, intelligent blacks feeling some sort of moral victory and then they go back living their middle class lifestyle
