Shane Strickland seems like a weird pick up for WWE. He doesn't really have the kind of buzz the majority of the indie guys that get signed to NXT has, he works a lot of places but none of the "big" indies with any regularity, I don't think he benefits from LU like the other talent since he doesn't retain the look or gimmick at all. It seems like it's been a while since they signed an indie guy that wasn't sit in the audience at Takeover tier, and I don't think Shane Strickland is one of those dudes.

hes been the face of MLW all year, plus striker & vampiroo were giving him the ultimate cosign at triplemania.

I think its him. plus his style is perfect for NXT. theyre prolly gonna be on some joe chit and have an unspoken MLW rematch with matt riddle and have him job tho.

These top talents gotta start being better business wise and build up their brand so that they can have the advantage when it comes to them being a free agent like how top NBA players leverage themselves into big contracts

that's what the bullet cliub is doing.

and I think we're gonna see more of it, with these new bidding wars starting up, and wrestlers being able to use the indies to their advantage since more of them are televised.

This is the same company that just signed 36 year old Punishment Martinez though, their just in signing mode like they have been the last couple years because of the Fox money :yeshrug:

It reminds me of what Tony Schiavone said on his podcast about Eric Bischoff going on a signing spree spree once Turner told him they wanted another show aka WCW Thunder.

That said - it would be :francis:seeing him go to the E to play the sidelines.

nah. I doubt that they'll have him playing the sidelines.

if he signed to the WWE, he'll prolly go str8 to the NXT main event scene along with matt riddle, and we'll end up getting a rehash of their MLW match somewhere down the line. he'll prolly get a run with the NXT belt too.

the big risk comes after the call-up to raw or smackdown. the WWE is horrible when it comes to black wrestlers, and their fans are so conditioned to this chit, that they don't know how to react when they see a serious black wrestler.

ROH & IMPACT need to step up and create a bidding war if its true that hes on his way out of MLW & Lucha.
