A lot of new talent is scheduled for medicals in mid-November with plans for a January debuting class. We don’t have any names yet, but if you stat hearing about people canceling their 2019 indie bookings, that could be a start. They are pursuing two of the top workers in the business but I don’t think contractually either could make it by January. Plus, it may not happen since both are significant stars in major league companies

He also mentioned on WOR that New Japan offered a major WWE talent a huge contract comparable to what they were currently getting. I wonder who that was

And Nakamura has done a at least one interview where he said his contract is up in 2019 and he's not decided on re-signing.

I mean, unless the money is crazy good with WWE, might as well go back to NJPW to make roughly the same, travel less, and likely have a more meaningful role.

I assume Shane Strickland is one of them. Meltzer said WWE wanted him a few months back, he apparently just ended his Lucha Underground run, & as soon as the reports came out he went from the main guy in MLW to background noise pretty quick

Thing about New Japan is they got so much fukking talent waiting in the wings it don't even matter. This young lions class is and apart from that they will sign guys from NOAH or wherever and then they turn WWE midcarders into legit stars, their business model is undefeated right now

Yeah I have a feeling his time in MLW is up. Never got revenge on Low-Ki for taking the title and he lost the #1 contender match with Tom Lawlor the other week where he tapped clean. He's not being promoted on their upcoming Fightland special either.
