Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rollins was only informed of plans when The Rock segment was going on. He was then taken into a room with Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman and producer Michael Hayes. They worked out the new finish to the main event but otherwise kept the structure of the original match that had been designed for Lesnar and Reigns.
Also Roman Reigns family were pissed he didn't win the title.

Members of the Anoa'i family were reportedly furious at the finish of the WrestleMania 31 main event on Sunday after finding out that plans had changed and Roman Reigns wasn't becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Reigns' father, Sika, in particular was so upset that he was apparently "looking to start a war." One WWE source told the following to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

"Sika forgot this business is not real life, and was legit pissed at the finish and looking to start a war. A lot of the younger (family members) were rallying around Sika, but the other 45 or 50 of them talked some reason."

Another source who was around the Anoa'i family said they were disappointed and upset, but not out of control.

The family came to see Rikishi get honored at the WWE Hall Of Fame, but apparently was there primarily to see Reigns have his big "WrestleMania moment" and become champion.
