Maybe it's me, but this is usually what happens when I listen to Dave East:
I play his shyt straight through.
More often than not he brings it lyrically even though if I took a shot every time he'd say "we used ta" or "remember" I'd die of alcohol poisoning.
Beats are whatever, but again, I'm zoning out to his lyrics.
After a while, I'm done trying to care about the tape, so unless it's mind blowing, the last 4 or 5 songs of his tapes I'm done with it because he's regurgitating the same shyt he said on the first 5 songs.
After I'm done, I'm like
